In the period of the holidays, when you have the opportunity to spend more time together, you can turn your snack into a special moment in which to cook with your children. I teach them to recognize ingredients, textures and train manual skills.
In this recipe, there are steps that mum or dad must take care of and simple steps, suitable for the little ones of the house. The recipe was created to be prepared together, so respect the instructions: everyone has their own turn!
Having prepared the coconut balls together will surely make this snack even sweeter and highly satisfying.
HOW TO PREPARE: COCONUT BALLS AND DRIED FRUIT
The preparation of this recipe is very fast, so we advise you to start turning on the oven and preheat to 180 ° and to line a pan with parchment paper to be ready before starting with the passagi.
Child: Separate the yolks from the whites, then pour the egg whites into a bowl. You can use the egg yolks for other preparations.
Mom or Dad: take the walnut kernels and chop them finely
Baby: In a rather large bowl, combine the coconut flour, almond flour, sugar and chopped walnuts with the egg whites.
The size of the bowl will allow you to work more easily by having to draw directly with your hands to make the balls.
Together: mix well making sure you get a homogeneous mixture.
Child: lightly moisten your hands and form small balls slightly smaller than a walnut with the dough. Moistening your hands is a little trick to keep them from sticking.
Mom and Dad: as the balls are ready, line them up on the baking tray. Bake them in the oven for 14/15 minutes or until they are lightly golden.
Together: let them cool. To make this cake more Christmas sprinkle with powdered sugar and transfer them into red cups or with themed decorations, at this point they will be ready to be served!
