Coarse cores No. 1, 2, 3 are directly in contact with the input water source (contains many impurities and dirt), so they are easily dirty, clogged, and damaged. Normally, after about 3-6 months of use, you should replace filter element number 1.
If the input water source is tap water, this core will have a lifespan of about 4 months. With drilled well water, this time period is shortened to only 2-3 months of use.
Water filter core number 2
This is an activated carbon filter core, which has the function of deodorizing, organic substances, heavy metals and chlorine in the input water source. Therefore, usually about 6-9 months, you should replace filter element No. 2.
Under the condition of using tap water, after 8 months you must replace filter element No. 2, but if using drilled well water, this time is only 5-6 months.
Filter core number 3
This is a filter core made of PP fiber with a gap of 1 micrometer, so it is capable of filtering out dirt and other components in water greater than or equal to the above size. Impurities and dirt when passing through this filter are retained.
Time to replace water filter element No. 3 is 9-12 months. With tap water, the life of this filter core is about 10 months, and with drilled well water, it is about 7-8 months.
Filter element number 4 – RO filter membrane
The RO filter is considered the most important part of the water purifier, with the function of removing heavy metal impurities and toxins that increase the risk of cancer, gastrointestinal diseases or neuritis.
Water filter core number 4 has a longer usage time than other cores. To ensure that the filtered water source always meets standards, the manufacturer recommends replacing the RO core every 24 – 36 months. Should be replaced every 2 years if the input water source is tap water or every 1-1.5 years for well water. The cost of replacing RO core is higher than coarse filter core 1, 2, 3.
