Coconut Milk Fillet Chicken Tongseng Recipe

The chicken filet tongseng is no less delicious when compared to the mutton tongseng in general. How to make chicken tongseng is also fairly easy and the ingredients are easy to find in the market.

As you know, this dish is a processed meat originating from Solo, Central Java. The presence of this filet chicken tongseng is for variation if you don’t like mutton.

Olahan tongseng hampir serupa dengan gulai nih, Bunda. Namun, kuah tongseng lebih sedikit dan juga dipadukan dengan beberapa sayuran untuk semakin memperkaya cita rasa.

Untuk sajian menu buka puasa, Bunda dapat menggunakan daging ayam filet agar lebih praktis. Waktu memasak tongseng ayam filet juga terbilang tidak terlalu lama.

Hidangan tongseng daging ayam fillet ini umumnya mudah dijumpai di warung makan pinggir jalan. Namun, Bunda bisa mencoba membuatnya di rumah. Berikut resep tongseng ayam filet dikutip dari buku Resep Tongseng Ayam Kampung karya Sasongko Iswandaru:

Bahan:

  • 500 gram daging ayam fillet
  • 1,5 liter air
  • 8 butir bawang merah
  • 6 siung bawang putih
  • 3 butir kemiri
  • 3 cm kunyit bakar
  • 1,5 sendok teh garam
  • ½ sendok teh merica
  • 2 sdm minyak sayur
  • 2 lembar daun salam
  • Bawang goreng secukupnya
  • 300 gram kol yang diiris kasar

How to make:

  1. Cut the chicken into several pieces according to taste.
  2. Then boil boiled chicken that has been cut into pieces, then drain.
  3. Prepare a saucepan, add coconut milk, then add ginger, galangal, stir constantly so that the coconut milk doesn’t break.
  4. Then saute ground spices (garlic, onion, pepper, roasted turmeric, salt). Stir until wilted.
  5. Put the fine spices that have been stirred into the coconut milk that has been boiled. Add the chopped cabbage, then add the boiled chicken.
  6. Add the chopped cayenne pepper, also add the tomatoes.
  7. Boil while stirring add sugar and soy sauce to taste.
  8. Prepare a bowl, enter the cooked chicken tongseng.
  9. Add fried onions.
  10. Tongseng chicken  fillet is ready to eat.
