The next subtlety: if you bought sliced ​​sausage, its shelf life is automatically reduced to 45-60 days in the refrigerator. This is due to the fact that pieces of sausage were in contact with air when cutting in sausage production, and even the modified gas environment created in the package cannot protect the sausage from this. Sometimes manufacturers indicate that after opening such a cut, the shelf life of the sausage is reduced to 5 days.

VIP sausages in loaves worth from 1500 rubles / kg indicate that when stored for up to 4 months, the permissible storage temperature is up to 12 degrees, just such a sausage can be taken with you on the road or on a hike, with the expectation to eat it in the next day.

You can freeze raw smoked sausage, but keep in mind that during freezing the sausage dries up, and after defrosting it becomes watery. In addition, the shelf life of such a sausage after defrosting and opening is reduced to a couple of weeks.
