How to store mayonnaise

There is mayonnaise that can be stored for up to six months in the refrigerator. But in such mayonnaise there are much more preservatives, keep this in mind and pay attention to the presence of allergens in the composition.
We store mayonnaise without a refrigerator
You can store opened mayonnaise outside the refrigerator for about 45 days, if the storage temperature is not more than 18 degrees. In summer, an opened pack of sauce can be wrapped in chilled foil and placed in the shade and cool, but you will have to constantly check it and replace the warm foil with cold foil. You can store the opened pack of sauce on the table, but its shelf life will be much shorter.
How to store homemade mayonnaise?
If you made your own homemade mayonnaise without preservatives, then the shelf life of the product will be short. This sauce in a closed jar can be stored for 3 days in the refrigerator and 12 hours out of the refrigerator. The shelf life of open sauce will not exceed 2 days in the refrigerator and only a few hours at room temperature.
What to do if you forgot mayonnaise on the table?
Of course, nothing will happen to mayonnaise overnight, but if the mayonnaise is old and you forget it not for the first time, then try it on the smell: if it is sharp and smells sour, feel free to throw it away.
