The intense aroma and smell of the lemon-like citrus peel, which is a tropical citrus variety and seen for the first time in the region, is known as a product full of healing.
Cemal Selekoğlu, who stated that the lemon that he saw and planted by chance on the internet as a lemon variety, attracted great attention, said that the citrus fruit, which they called fingered lemon, attracted everyone’s attention and caused great surprise.
Selekoğlu stated that it is different from lemon with its smell and aroma in its peel, “It is called Buddha’s Hand. A type of citrus, a derivative of lemon. But it has a different structure from them. You must have noticed the images. It’s actually hand shaped. It doesn’t have a juicy fruit edible part like other lemon varieties. But I learned that it is a citrus fruit that is very good for heartburn and stomach pain. Apart from that, it has a very nice aroma and fragrant feature. When the fruit is dried and cut into small pieces, it is used like bergamot to add flavor to teas. The view is beautiful. Everyone who sees this is shocked. As far as I know, it is probably the first time I brought this in Kozan. A tropical citrus species. I’ve seen it on the internet. I said if it grows in a tropical place, I planted it 2 years ago in Çukurova to try a tropical region. This year, every branch is full of fruit. Its image surprises people. What do they call this? It attracts a lot of attention,” he said.
