How to clean a hand blender to avoid cutting yourself and breaking your appliance

How to clean a hand blender to avoid cutting yourself and breaking your appliance

A little helpful tip for quickly cleaning the blender’s working attachment.

Nowadays, almost every home has a kitchen appliance such as a blender. It allows you to very quickly prepare a variety of dishes (mashed potatoes, sauces, etc.), literally in a matter of seconds, chopping and mixing various ingredients. Moreover, submersible blenders are most popular, since they can grind and mix products in any suitable container.

However, after cooking a dish with a blender, it becomes necessary to wash its working attachment, in which there is a knife for chopping food. And here a problem often arises, since it is not so easy to wash the nozzle, especially after cooking a viscous and fatty dish or sauce. In addition, there is a serious risk of injury from a sharp knife.

However, there is a very simple way to quickly and easily clean the blender working attachment. I have been using this method for a long time and I must say that this method is so simple and obvious that, apparently, quite a few people use it.

However, it turns out that not everyone knows about this method. So recently, while visiting my friends, I happened to see how the hostess, after preparing a dish, washed the blender nozzle under the tap for a long time and persistently and at the same time almost cut her finger on a sharp knife. Actually, this fact prompted me to write this article.

So, in order to quickly and easily wash the blender attachment with a knife, after cooking, you need to pour clean water into a deep bowl, or, for example, into a half-liter jar and immerse the blender attachment in it, turn it on several times for 2-3 seconds …

At the same time, for better washing, you can intensively move the blender up and down or from side to side, as if trying to mix or grind the water.

As a result, the blender knife, rotating at high speed in the water, will perfectly wash itself and the entire inside of the nozzle. After that, it remains only to lightly rinse the nozzle under the tap, and it will be absolutely clean.

So everything is very simple, fast and safe!

We clean a stationary blender with a bowl (aka a shaker)

These devices have a large glass or polymer bowl, at the bottom of which there are chopper knives. It is not easy to reach them with a brush and clean mechanically, but such a blender is easy to clean if you pour warm water with the addition of dishwashing detergent into the bowl and run for half a minute at medium speed, see Fig. 1 a, c.

Most of the fragments will wash off immediately, but especially stubborn ones will separate if the solution is left in the bowl for half an hour. Next, you need to rinse the bowl under running clean water.

  • Dry the appliance before storing it, otherwise a musty odor may occur.
  • The stationary part with the motor and the switch must not be washed; if necessary, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or cloth with soapy water.

How to clean a blender

If the whisk for beating a blender or even a powerful mixer is easy to clean, then you will have to tinker with the leg, which contains the knives, protected from accidental touch by a special skirt. The blender leg cannot be disassembled. And if you do not remove food remnants from under the knives in time, and the places where the shaft comes out of the leg, you can even irrevocably damage the nozzle. Dirt will crust or worse, start to deteriorate, odor and mildew.

It is good if the body of the leg is metal. Such a blender can be immersed in hot food, as well as boil the attachment in a separate saucepan or run it in the dishwasher at maximum setting.

ATTENTION! Do not try to disinfect blender parts in the oven or microwave. In the first case, you will ruin the seals and shaft rotation sleeves, and in the second, you will burn the microwave oven.

After washing and heat treatment, attach the motor unit to the leg, immerse it in warm (and metal can be in hot) water and turn it on for 20-25 seconds. Inspect the knives, turn them on and re-submerge them if necessary.

If loose dirt remains on the shaft or under the knives, remove it with a cotton swab and rinse the attachment under a strong jet of water.

Blender with chopper bowl

Universal blenders, in addition to straight attachments, are equipped with a bowl with an S-shaped knife for chopping meat, ice, nuts, etc. There is a gear reducer in the bowl lid, which reduces the rotation speed and increases the force of motion of the blades.

You should be especially careful with this gear cover. Be sure to check if it can be washed with full immersion in water, otherwise the gearbox may jam and the part will fail, and in most cases the cover with gears cannot be disassembled and will be hopelessly damaged.

The knife with the shaft and the bowl are easy to clean. If there are still adhering pieces, they can be easily removed with warm water and a cleaning solution. Even knives can be cleaned with a sponge by moving from the shaft along the knife. Be careful – the knives are very sharp.

General information

Regular sponge wiping, even with a disinfectant, is not enough for proper blender maintenance. In its bowl, attachments are attached, under which the remnants of the crushed mixture are clogged, and pieces of minced meat are wound onto the rotor.

If all this is not removed in a timely manner, then the engine, due to excessive load, will quickly fail. In addition, any chopped mixture in a blender will develop an unpleasant smell of musty or rotten food.

It is unlikely that anyone would want to cook something with it.

How to clean a blender and what difficulties can arise? For example, the manufacturer strictly prohibits immersing such equipment in water, and the base itself, where the filter and the adapter shaft to the bowl are located, may be non-removable. If water gets inside, then engine corrosion will begin (although more often it is the printed circuit boards on which the toggle switches for controlling the operating modes of the electric motor are affected).

At the same time, if you do not wash and clean the blender in a timely manner or perform this procedure poorly, then pretty soon:

  • dull knives
  • the bowl will become coated and scratched due to dry food residues,
  • the engine will not produce the declared number of revolutions.

Accordingly, such a technique will no longer be able to grind food normally. And such damage caused by improper care does not fall under warranty repair.

How to clean the bowl and attachments correctly

The simplest and at the same time universal option for washing the bowl and attachments is an additional cycle in the “grinding” mode at minimum power with the addition of water .

The bowl is poured 2/3 with warm boiled water, only 1-2 drops of dishwashing detergent and 2-3 lemon wedges are added there.

The latter will not only remove the unpleasant smell even after minced meat or fish, but also clean the knives themselves with the help of the zest.

Then the dirty water is drained, a disinfectant solution is poured and the blender starts up for a second cycle (with minimum power). Cleaning is complete.

To clean the blender attachment, if minced meat or other food debris is wrapped around it, you can carefully remove the knives (according to the instructions) and clean with a damp soft sponge. Whipping attachments, as a rule, do not need such a procedure, but if necessary, they are washed under running water (with a minimum pressure). After beating the eggs, the beaters should be treated with a disinfectant solution.

Cleaning the main part (where the motor is located)

The main part , in which the engine and controls are located, do not need to be washed . This rule applies to both stationary and hand blenders.

The technique is designed in such a way that the food mixture should not get into that area. And even if this happens, it is enough to do with wiping with a slightly damp sponge (the equipment must be de-energized before this).

Some models of hand blenders have a rubberized handle, and in this case, to clean, you need to moisten the sponge harder, otherwise the dirt will not be washed off.

There are also those models of blenders that are allowed to be washed in the dishwasher . Their key difference is the presence of seals at the joints, which do not allow moisture to penetrate inside. If you really wash the blender in this way, then be sure to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. The cleaning principle differs slightly for different brands.

How to clean the dried mixture?

If you do not clean the blender in a timely manner, then the remnants of the crushed mixture will definitely dry both to the bowl itself and to the nozzle. If the design is collapsible, then the bowl, along with the knives, should be soaked in soapy water for several hours, and then washed with a sponge and detergent.

But what if it is impossible to disassemble the blender? In this case, 2/3 of the volume of warm water is poured into the bowl, 2 teaspoons of baking soda, 50 milliliters of vinegar and 5-10 drops of detergent are added there.

Then you need to turn on the grinding cycle at minimum power (10-15 seconds). After that, do not remove the lid, but let the blender stand with the mixture inside for at least 6-8 hours. Further – a repeated grinding cycle.

Dirty water must be drained, and then washed again in the blender in the usual way (with lemon). If this does not help to cope with contamination, then there remains only the option of contacting an official service center – cleaning should be carried out mechanically with disassembly. For this reason, the cleaning of equipment should be carried out in a timely manner.

Use of cleaning chemicals

According to the instructions, no specialized blender cleaner is used . The only thing that can be used is a dishwashing gel and a disinfectant solution (0.5% soda ash solution). Everything else is categorically contraindicated, as it can damage the knives or provoke corrosion.

Conclusion

In total, cleaning the blender begins with familiarization with the manufacturer’s recommendations. With collapsible models, problems do not arise at all; with modular models, the main thing is to clean them in a timely manner. Keep all parts and the device itself completely dry .

In no case should you violate the rules specified in the operating instructions. Ignoring them is more likely to lead to equipment failure.

What foods cannot be chopped in a blender?

Blender is a small multifunctional wizard who made it easier for women to work in the kitchen.

Smoothies, cream soup, mashed potatoes for children, puffed pancake dough, pâtés – this compact submersible apparatus will perfectly cope with this.

The stationary unit has enough power to turn meat into tender minced meat, chop ice for cocktails, cut or grate vegetables (if you have the necessary attachment) and much more.

But, like any technique, the blender is equipped with a fragile mechanism, and if you use it incorrectly, you will soon return to your old grater friend.

Some products must absolutely not be chopped in a blender! Which? Read below.

Greens at room temperature

The fiber-rich greens of the metal blender can easily turn into brown gruel. To preserve the juicy color, freeze the herbs, and after 5 minutes add to the blender – this is the advice of the chef.

Fibrous vegetables with a hard stalk

We’re talking celery, broccoli, cauliflower, tough salad greens. Believe me, even modern super-powerful high-speed blenders will not cope with the fibers, and if they do, then for the next half hour you will be removing the leftovers from the knives.

Frozen fruits

Who doesn’t love invigorating fruit drinks? As long as they are fresh, the knives do a great job with delicate pulp, but what if you only have frozen fruit? Some are so confident in the power of the blender that they throw the frozen fruit into the bowl. Well, if you make a sorbet … In the worst case, the blades will break or become dull, and the glass (or plastic) of the container will crack. Remove food from the freezer in advance and leave for half an hour.

Hard grains and nuts

Only truly desperate housewives will stop grinding coffee beans, beans, mung bean or cocoa beans in a blender. For grinding solid food, it is best to use a good grinder with a powerful motor and reinforced blades.

Products with a strong aroma

Garlic odors, chili and onion bitterness can soak into the rubber seal and ruin the flavor of the product you are mixing. You may have noticed that after raw garlic, the blender bowl overnight, even after two or three rinses, still leaves a subtle aroma. Morning cocktail with strawberries and spicy garlic is unlikely to be to your taste.

Too little or too much fluid

When the blender is working with solid foods, you need to add a little water. This should be done carefully to avoid engine surge or water splash. The proportions must be correct. Not enough liquid – the blender will chop into lumps, too much – the blades will not come into contact with the product.

Bones

Professional chefs say that inexperienced chefs often make this mistake. When adding chicken or fish to a blender to make minced meat for meatballs or fish tarts, it is important to make sure the meat is free of bones. Household harvesters differ from industrial ones – even small bones are “too much for knives.”

Meat

The ideal dish is layers of flavors and textures. Meat, ground in a blender, has a consistency that only babies will enjoy. Of course, if you are preparing complementary foods for a baby, then a blender is a real savior of a young mother. But for juicy tender cutlets with a crispy crust, only a meat grinder is needed.

Tools

Avoid putting any tools or small kitchen utensils into the blender while it is running: plastic, glass or wooden mortars are not good for pushing food pieces – they crack and break easily. If you need to stir the puree lightly while the blender is running, use a metal spoon.

Sun-dried tomatoes

Unless you have a high-speed high-speed blender, never try to chop sun-dried tomatoes; their tough skin will stick to the blades. If you still need sun-dried tomatoes, for example, for a sauce, soak them in water until they are soft.

Tomato sauce

Chefs strongly advise against cooking the sauce in a blender: if a large amount of air gets in, tomato puree loses its bright color and acquires a faded pinkish tint.

Potato

We think that more than one housewife regretted that she tried to cook mashed potatoes in a blender … Any starchy vegetables cannot be chopped at high speeds: starch turns into a viscous paste, mashed potatoes become sticky, tasteless. Modern models have a special nozzle for potatoes.

Hot liquid

When preparing puree soup, do not pour the soup that has not yet cooled down into the bowl. Steam in a confined space can explode the lid: not only will the liquid scatter through the kitchen, there is a risk of serious burns.

Dough

No self-respecting baker would make pie dough in a blender. Its texture will be tough, unsaturated with oxygen. An exception is batter for pancakes or pancakes.

Ginger

Don’t put fresh or dried ginger in a blender. What happens? Not a gruel, but a solid lump of fibers. It is better to chop or grate it finely.

Bulk ingredients

If you put flour, sugar, or baking mixture in a blender, the powdered ingredients will stick to the sides of the bowl as you mix. Better to add them to the liquid base through the hole in the lid and slow down.

Housewives tips on how and what to properly wash the blender

There are practically no families left without a blender in the kitchen. Such an electric kitchen appliance is a necessary helper in everyday life. It combines the functions of a mixer and a food processor. It can be used to prepare cream purees, various emulsions, baby cereals, fruit cocktails, mousses and simply grind the desired products.

How to wash?

In order for the miracle blender to serve you for a long time, you should properly care for it. But surely you are thinking about whether it is possible to wash the blender with detergents, and how to do it correctly? In this article, we’ll go over a lot of tips on how to clean the hand blender, which is the most popular with housewives.

Each model of a blender, whether it is stationary or submersible, must include instructions on how to take care of the equipment.

If you adhere to it, then the technique will serve effectively for more than one year and will only delight its owners. The instructions prescribe the conditions under which the blender can be washed.

These include the temperature of the water, the composition of the detergents that must not be used, the storage conditions and other important details for the preservation of household appliances.

Step-by-step instruction

We all know that any household appliances require cleaning and washing. And also, in order for the device to serve you as long as possible, you need to properly care for and store it. But before you put it back in place, you need to wash it thoroughly and dry all the parts. The equipment should be washed immediately after use. Do not delay washing the appliance if there is a saline solution inside it.

  1. Before washing the blender, it should be disconnected from the power supply, thus de-energized, and completely disassembled into separate parts. First of all, it is necessary to unscrew the “mill” from the block part of the electric motor (motor), which can be easily removed when turned counterclockwise. Further, there is a parsing of the rest of the individual parts. That is, the cup, knife, rubber gasket and sealing wheel are removed separately.

Be careful when analyzing the technique! After all, the knives are very sharp, and having made an awkward movement, you can easily cut yourself off and thereby injure yourself.

  1. The next step is to clean the motor block device. You cannot wash it, but only wipe it with a clean, damp special napkin. Some housewives use soap and sponge. Use a napkin, rag or the same Beauty sponge to rinse all parts under a stream of warm water
  2. If the house has a dishwasher, you can use it. But only removable parts can be washed in the car and at a temperature not higher than 60 degrees

Do not use descaler concentrates, otherwise parts will malfunction. Use only soap or regular detergent from the Beauty series.

  1. In nature, there are many products, vegetables and fruits, which tend to color objects and things. A blender like Brown is highly prone to color from rich and vibrant foods. The stubborn color is quite difficult to wash, but either ordinary laundry soap or vegetable oil will help with this.

Rub the cup and lid with oil and leave for 20 minutes, then wash it off under a stream of warm water and soap. Soap is a great helper when washing any household appliances and not only.

It is important to know that all the parts are put together, and the blender is removed only after it has completely dried, otherwise wet parts may corrode. Consequently, the blender will stop functioning.

Before you start washing the blender yourself at home, you should read the instructions that came with the device. It also tells you how to properly clean the blender lid and bowl.

Some models of modern blenders have a built-in self-cleaning function. It also helps to quickly and efficiently clean the appliance from food contamination.

Such a function is, for example, in the Brown blender. These devices cost a little more, but they deserve it.

The automatic self-cleaning function allows you to avoid cuts on your hand, because the blender’s blades are very sharp (see video).

It is very important to first read the instructions, because for each device it has its own, depending on the specific model and type of work.

How to clean the blender lid and cup in 15 seconds?

There is a very effective way to clean your blender in 15 seconds at home. To do this, pour 50 ml of liquid soap into a dirty cup, pour warm water up to the upper strip indicated on the bowl. Then close everything with a lid and turn on the “Start” button. Run the blender for 15 seconds.

This time is enough to perfectly clean the appliance.

Then you should pour out the dirty water and rinse the lid and cup under running warm clean water. After running water, the parts should be wiped off with a clean dry cloth and left to dry completely on the table for 30 minutes, then it can be removed. The method is very effective and, most importantly, fast.

Important tips on how to wash and clean your blender attachments

But how to properly care for such a technique? How can I clean my blender properly after use and can it be cleaned, for example, in the dishwasher?

General information

Regular sponge wiping, even with a disinfectant, is not enough for proper blender maintenance. In its bowl, attachments are attached, under which the remnants of the crushed mixture are clogged, and pieces of minced meat are wound onto the rotor.

How to instantly clean a blender

Washing attachments and bowls

The easiest and most versatile way to clean the attachments and bowl of the appliance is an additional grinding cycle at the slowest speed with the addition of water. For this you need:

  • fill the bowl 2/3 with warm boiled water;
  • add a couple of drops of detergent there;
  • put a couple of lemon slices there to eliminate unpleasant odors.

You can clean the knife of the appliance from minced meat and other pieces of food by removing it in accordance with the instructions. Cleaning should be done with a soft, damp sponge. Rinse the beaters under running water, and after working with eggs, in addition to this, treat with a disinfectant solution.

If the mixture in the blender has already dried on the walls of the bowl, then it and the knives should be soaked for several hours in soapy water, and then washed with a sponge and detergent. But this method is only suitable for collapsible models.

If the blender is non-separable, then the bowl must be filled 2/3 with warm water, add two teaspoons of baking soda, 50 ml of vinegar and 5-10 drops of dishwashing liquid. Turn the blender on to the slowest setting for 15 seconds and leave it on for about 8 hours without draining.

How to clean a blender

If the whisk for beating a blender or even a powerful mixer is easy to clean, then you will have to tinker with the leg, which contains the knives, protected from accidental touch by a special skirtThe blender leg cannot be disassembled.

Cleaning the main part with a motor

The main body of any type of blender that houses the motor usually does not need to be washed as no food gets into it. But if you still get this part dirty, then it will be enough to wipe it with a damp sponge, after disconnecting the device from the power source. For the rubberized parts, the sponge will need to be moistened more, as these areas are more difficult to clean.

Some blender models are dishwasher safe. This can be found in the instructions for the product.

Here are some basic blender care tips to remember:

  • First of all, be sure to read the recommendations for caring for the product, which are in the instructions.
  • With collapsible models, there are usually no problems, but the main thing is to clean the modular ones in time, preventing food from drying out.
  • Keep the device and all parts to it absolutely dry.

Blender with chopper bowl

Universal blenders, in addition to straight attachments, are equipped with a bowl with an S-shaped knife for chopping meat, ice, nuts, etc. (see Figure 4).

Blender broke: how to fix the appliance yourself

What to do if the hostess’s favorite assistant is broken – a blender, and at this time the workshop is not working, and the service center is far away? Despite the warnings, many decide to make repairs on their own. Let’s consider how you can bring the device back to life at home.

Replacing the knife

If suddenly the stationary blender stops cutting food, you need to carefully examine the knife. In the event of a breakdown, it will have to be changed. If it is dull, then it is enough to sharpen, but sharpening is usually done on special equipment. In any case, this repair will have to start with removing the knife (for this you need to know how the blender works).

To remove a broken knife, you must:

  • disassemble the bowl, if necessary;
  • unscrew the nuts securing the knife:
  • if there are no nuts, unscrew the knife immediately.

When removing the knife, it is necessary to wrap it with a dense, clean cloth so as not to cut your fingers. When disassembling, carefully inspect the bowl. There are models with non-separable bowls. In this case, you will have to change the latter along with the knife. Do not forget to change the oil seal along with the knife.

The knife fastening nuts, like the knife itself, have a left-hand thread. You need to unscrew them clockwise, and tighten them on the contrary – counterclockwise.

Defective speed switch

To check and repair the speed switch on a stationary or immersion blender, you need to know a little about radio engineering and be able to use a soldering iron. At home, a full check of this site is impossible.

And this must be done. For repair it is necessary to drop out the board and “ring” it. If, during switching, the contacts are alternately closed (clicked), then the switch is in working condition.

Engine failure

Sometimes it happens that the blender doesn’t want to work at all. There are several reasons for this. First, the bowl missing lock may fail. In this case, it is enough to listen to the included blender.

If you hear a low buzzing sound, but the knife is still in place, then the locking mechanism may have worked. It is necessary to remove the bowl, and press the lock button with a long object (for example, a pencil). If after that the blender does not work, then most likely the problem is in the engine.

There is a high probability that the winding has burned out. In this case, there is only one way out – to change the engine.

If you are lucky, and the engine turned out to be in good order, proceed to the next stage of the check. First, let’s make sure that there is still voltage in the outlet. To do this, we include another electrical appliance in it. If it works, then everything is in order with the outlet. The next step is to check the blender power cord.

The work is simple, but you will have to disassemble the case (advice on disassembling Bosch hand blenders may come in handy here). By the way, before doing this, you need to make sure that there is a fuse. If it burns out, we change it to a similar one.

If this operation did not restore the unit to work, we continue to check the power cord. Having connected the plug to the socket, it is necessary to measure the voltage corresponding to the fuse or to the power connector with a voltmeter (tester). If there is voltage, then the power cord is working. If not, then you just need to replace it with a new one.

There are power connectors that are completely filled with plastic, without access to the contacts. In this case, you can carefully insert the needles with wires soldered to them through the insulation of the wires and connect them to the voltmeter.

Sometimes this situation also happens: when the plug is plugged into the socket, the fuse immediately burns out. This means that a short circuit has occurred inside the device. It can be in the engine or in the electronic system unit. Repair in this case is simple: having determined the place of short circuit or open circuit, you need to replace the faulty unit.

If the problem is in the engine, we change it, if in the electronics, we change the board. Determining the malfunction of the electronic board is also not difficult. We need to examine it carefully.

If, during inspection, swelling of capacitors, carbon deposits on resistors or breaks and peeling of the conductive paths of the printed circuit board are revealed, then we can confidently assume that the malfunction lies precisely here.

The device must be disconnected from the mains before repairing.

Dripping in the bowl

Rarely, but sometimes such a picture is observed – the blender works fine, but puddles appear around. A similar malfunction usually occurs when the stuffing box is leaking. Repair consists in replacing it with a new one. However, make sure the bowl is not cracked before replacing.

Never load the bowl completely. In this case, leakage from under the cover is inevitable.

The blender is pretty simple. As you can see, it is enough to repair one node, and the device’s performance will be restored. Along with the benefits, making repairs yourself is also fun.

How to take care of a blender for a long time – useful tips and life hacks

In our kitchen, there are more and more electrical devices that significantly facilitate the preparation of food. Their cost depends on the brand, but this is always not the cheapest pleasure. I would like them to serve indefinitely.

This is quite possible with proper use and care. One of the most useful and most commonly used machines is the blender. With its help, the hostesses mix, grind or whip the ingredients of future dishes.

Blenders are usually divided according to the type of use into stationary and submersible. The first, as a rule, the most powerful, consist of a base with an electric motor and a bowl with attachments.

The hand blender is much more compact, it is held in hand when working. The hand blender comes with attachments and a bowl for chopping food.

Each blender has a certain power and is designed to grind certain types and sizes of food.

All this is described in the instructions for it. It should be carefully read before using the unit.

If you load the blender in excess of the norm, it can quickly fail – its electric motor will simply burn out.

For both hand blenders and stand blenders, the main care is to clean them correctly after each use. Do not leave food residues inside the bowls or on the surfaces of the attachments.

Hand blender care

Any blender consists of the main part – the blender itself, inside which there is an electric motor, as well as bowls for food and attachments – different types of knives, whisks. All its constituent parts require care.

Important! A blender is an electrical appliance. It must not be immersed in water or washed in the dishwasher! It must be wiped with a damp cloth, then blot dry with a towel. The same applies to reducers-adapters – a lid and a nozzle for attaching a whisk. In this case, the blender must be unplugged from the outlet.

It is necessary to wipe the blender itself after each use, as it will always have damp handprints on which dust and food particles can easily adhere. Even if at first glance it looks clean. The containers of hand blenders are usually plastic. You can wash them with warm water and ordinary detergent.

The blender blades are very sharp. They must be washed very carefully, you cannot simply wipe them with your hands, there is a high probability of cutting yourself. You must use a sponge or brush. Hand blender attachments and containers are dishwasher safe as standard.

Some models of stationary blenders have a special cleaning mode. To wash them, you just need to pour warm water into the blender bowl and start the desired operating mode.

But even the simplest stationary blender is very easy to clean. Almost all of these blenders are equipped with a removable bowl. It is easy to clean in hot water and regular detergent or in the dishwasher.

The same applies to all attachments.

Important! Small parts – knives and attachments in the dishwasher are only placed in the cutlery basket.

The housing with the motor is wiped with a clean damp cloth, then with a dry towel.

Regardless of the type of blender, in this situation, it is best to wash it as follows. In the bowl of a blender, ready to use, pour about 2/3 of the volume of warm water. Dissolve a couple of drops of regular detergent in water. Run the slowest operating mode for 15-20 seconds. Leave everything for about an hour, then restart the blender for 15 seconds.

Then drain the dirty water. The procedure can be repeated if not all food residues have been washed off. Next, you need to pour clean warm water again, add a few drops of lemon juice to it and once again let the blender run for 15 seconds. This will help remove unpleasant, stagnant odors.

Storing the blender

It is better to store the blender in a place protected from direct sunlight with normal humidity. Sunlight ages plastic quickly. Moisture and condensation can damage the motor. It is also very important to keep the blender out of the reach of children.

And for them it is safer, and the bowls will remain intact. It is convenient to use the packaging in which the blender was purchased for storage. It is compact, the entire set is placed in it rationally, and this saves space in the kitchen cabinet.

Whatever type of blender is, you need to take care of it to extend its life. Wash thoroughly after each use. And not only the bowl and attachments, but the blender itself. And then it will last a long time, regardless of the brand and price range.
