Baking a point of bell pepper is the same as baking a normal bell pepper. The skin of the pointed pepper is slightly thinner, which means that it is cooked a bit earlier and the pepper has a sweeter taste.

Wash the bell pepper well and cut it in half. Cut away the seeds and seeds well, they are slightly poisonous if you eat a little bit of seeds. There are people who do not tolerate nightshade vegetables well, bell pepper is one of them!

Okay, fry the seeds in a frying pan in some butter or oil. Toss the pepper pieces until they are warm and cooked through. This takes about 3 minutes. Of course, it depends on the size of the pieces how long it takes for them to be baked. • chili powder (for some spice, taste how much you want to add!)
  • rosemary (cut the needles yourself or buy ground)
  • oregano
  • thyme (not too much, can dominate)

Other seasonings can also go well with bell peppers such as balsamic vinegar. I will give an example:

Heat oil in a pan and fry a small sliced onion, 1 clove of crushed garlic and finely chopped rosemary needles for 2 minutes. Add the cleaned and quartered bell pepper, stir and fry until soft. Then you add a dash of balsamic vinegar to deglaze it. Taste how much salt you want to add with some pepper.

First of all, it must be said that paprika can also be eaten raw. In addition, one person thinks that a bell pepper needs to be baked for a while, the other long. I assume the average. So how long should you bake bell peppers?

baking peppers
  • pepper pieces in the pan, fry for 5 minutes
  • a quarter bell pepper in the pan, 10 minutes
  • bake a whole bell pepper (washed only) in the oven, stuffed 20 to 25 minutes (for the soup!)
  • a whole bell pepper stuffed and in the oven: about 20 minutes.

Baking Peppers In The Oven

Turn on the oven at 200 to 225 degrees and use baking paper.

You can place one whole bell pepper, washed but not cleaned, in the oven (allow to dry for a while) and wait until the bell pepper has charred black to a large extent. That takes about 20 minutes. Turn the peppers halfway through.

Then remove the pepper from the oven and place it in a bowl with a lid and let the pepper rest for 15 minutes. Now you can easily remove the skin and cut off the stem. Cut open the bell pepper and remove the seeds and ribs. Now you have a delicious taste of your bell pepper that you can use for the soup, for example. Sooooo delicious!

You can of course also cut the cleaned bell pepper into quarters and bake them in the oven. Look when the skin is blackened and then take them out.

You can of course also bake a stuffed pepper in the oven. Then you cut off the stem and cap and washed and dried the bell pepper. The seed lists have also been removed. Now fill the bell pepper with the vegetables of your choice, such as rice. Place the peppers in the oven and wait about 20 minutes. Pierce the bell pepper to feel if it is soft, then it is cooked, otherwise wait a few more minutes.

Baking Peppers In Oil

You can fry peppers in oil. When you put it in the oven, you can also rub the peppers a little with oil. When you are going to fry in the pan, put a little oil in it. That can be rapeseed oil, which can withstand high temperatures, but also sunflower oil.

Olive oil, especially extra virgin olive oil, does not tolerate heat well. Substances are created that are not healthy for us. There is olive oil on the market that is specially made for frying, which you can of course just use. In addition, when you take extra virgin olive oil for baking, the taste of this delicious oil disappears during baking. That would be a waste. I say: use well with salads and cold applications. Healthy and delicious.
