Peptic ulcer disease , gastroesophageal reflux and chronic gastritis are treatable diseases with a precise combination of an appropriate diet, a correct lifestyle and conscious medical treatment. Diet in these diseases does not mean starvation. It aims to remove the irritants of the digestive system and support recovery processes.

In peptic ulcer disease and chronic gastritis, proper culinary processing of the products is essential. Boiling, baking and stewing are recommended , avoiding frying and breading. Vegetables are boiled, stewed or roasted. It is recommended to puree them, preparing different types of purees and juices from them. The fruits can be consumed as purees, juices, roasted or pureed. Soft grated apples or bananas can be taken raw.

The temperature of the food taken should be moderate and close to body temperature.

As a basic principle of these diseases, food for ulcers and gastritis should be thermally, chemically and mechanically sparing.
