10 Great uses of fruit netting

Fruit mesh bags are made from flexible plastic, usually polyethylene (PE), with high durability and flexibility. They are often used to wrap each fruit to prevent impact during transportation and limit bruising.

Uses of fruit netting

After removing the mesh bag of fruit purchased from the market or supermarket, instead of throwing it away, you can save some to use in the following cases:

Protect cups and glasses 

Glasses and cups that are filled with hot water or lots of ice cubes will become difficult to hold due to being too hot or cold, and if you don’t hold them firmly, they will easily break. At this point, you just need to take out a fruit mesh bag, wrap it around the cup and hold it as usual. This mesh bag is not only anti-slip but also very insulating.

If you need to collect glass cups for storage or need to transport them without shockproof wrap, use a fruit net to wrap each one and then carefully box it so you can transport it with peace of mind. However, you should use multiple layers of mesh to cover glasses and cups to be safe enough.

Egg wrap 

One more use of fruit net: Protects eggs when stacked. After using net to wrap each egg, you can put it in a box or bag one by one to store it without worrying about the eggs breaking.

Clean the sink 

This is also a use of fruit netting that few people think about but is very effective. Using a hard brush or metal fiber to scrub yellow stains on the sink can easily cause scratches or peeling of the paint on the surface. Use a fruit mesh to create foam with soap and then rub it on the surface of the sink to clean stains without worrying about scratches.  

Helps the cutting board become less slippery when slicing

Using a fruit net to line the bottom of the cutting board will help make the cutting board less slippery when slicing and grating, and will also protect the cutting board from getting water or dirt on the kitchen surface. 

Make a cover for the bathroom floor drain 

During your family’s daily activities, hair or fabric scraps often float down the drain, easily clogging the drain. Unclogging drains is quite expensive and troublesome. You can use fruit nets to protect the manhole, preventing hair or dirt from flowing down.

The method is quite simple, you just need to use a string to tie the fruit net to the drain cover, then close the drain cover and use normally. The fruit net can effectively prevent hair and dirt from entering, avoiding drain blockage problems. Change the net once a day.
