What is oatmeal? Oatmeal is a well-known product and is eaten very often in the World. Making oatmeal over a heat source is one of the easiest and most reliable ways to cook it. Put 40 grams of oatmeal in a pan together with 200 ml of vegetable milk and stir well. Place this pan on the heat source and bring to a gentle boil. Check the package label to verify the cooking time, it may vary depending on the type of oatmeal. Keep stirring when the pan is on the heat source. It can burn quickly and boil. The cooking time is usually around 3 minutes.

Cooking oatmeal in the microwave is an easy shortcut, but it can often end up in an eerie mess of exploded oats. Protect the microwave by cooking the oats in a short time, 30 to 40 seconds, or by lowering the power level. This method is perfect for varieties that cook faster, such as instant oats and some old-fashioned oatmeal.  

Oatmeal in Slow Cooker

If you’re short on time in the morning but still want a hot breakfast, slow-cooker oatmeal is the perfect solution. Simply pour your oats and liquid into the pot and let your slow cooker do its magic by working overnight. Due to the long cooking time, the aromas of all spices such as cinnamon, currants and raisins that are added can also be released nicely. Also try dried fruit, cinnamon stick, or vanilla. 

How To Make Overnight Oats?

Overnight Oats is a breakfast made with oatmeal. It is oatmeal that is soaked overnight in vegetable milk or water.  

It works very simply. In the evening, put 40 grams of oatmeal and 200 ml of plant-based milk in a bowl. Add, for example, apple shreds, chia seeds, raisins, cinnamon and peanuts. Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge.  

The next morning you will have a nice nutritious breakfast. 

How To Make Oatmeal Porridge

Making oatmeal porridge is easy and quick to make.  

Take 50 grams of oatmeal and 200 ml of plant-based milk. Place a pan on the heat source and add the plant-based milk and oatmeal. Bring this to a boil, then lower the heat and wait 3 minutes.  

Remove the pan from the heat and place the oats in a bowl. Add a little sweetener, for example agave syrup, to give it more flavour.  

What Is Oatmeal Milk or Oat Milk? 

Oatmeal milk is not actually milk. It’s not squeezed or anything like that. It is a combination of oats and water. It can also be easily made at home.  

Take 100 grams of oats and 700 ml of water and put them together. Let it soak overnight and then strain out the oats. Depending on the amount of oats, it may taste like oats or more like water.
