The threadlike branches of the leaves are used as a herb. And the seeds can often be found as a spice. But is fennel healthy?

1. Preventing Anemia
The first reason why fennel is healthy is the presence of vegetable iron. A good level of iron is important for the production of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin in the blood is responsible for oxygen transport and is therefore very important for your energy level. You may have heard that iron from animal sources is better absorbed. But if you combine plant-based iron with vitamin C, this is also well absorbed. And fennel also contains vitamin C, which nature has again looked at cleverly.

The effect on blood pressure has mainly to do with potassium. Potassium mainly causes the blood vessels to widen, which reduces blood pressure.
