FEED YOUR BABY REGULARLY
Stating that breast milk is digested quickly, Dr. Ela Tahmaz Gündoğdu says, “When the baby is 2 days old, he suckles about 8-10 times a day; this corresponds to every 2-3 hours. Feed your baby every time he wants to feed. They show their hunger by searching with their mouths and increasing their movement. Crying is usually the last symptom,” she said. Saying that if the baby swallows after 1-2 sucking movements, it can be understood that he has taken milk, Dr. Ela Tahmaz Gündoğdu said, “She can stay at the breast until she finishes sucking and goes to sleep. From 5-7 days they stay on one breast for 20 minutes. Make sure it stays in the same breast until it’s swallowed, then deflate it and pass it to the other breast.
WHAT CAN BE DONE IF THE BREAST IS EXTREME TENSION AND PAIN DUE TO MILK ACCUMULATION?

HOW CAN A BABY WITH SUCKING DIFFICULTY BREASTFEED?

BREAST MILK CAN BE STORED IN THE FREEZER FOR 6 MONTHS
Stating that breast milk can be stored for 6-8 hours in the room cool, 72 hours on the refrigerator shelf, it can be stored for up to 6 months in the deep freezer. Ela Tahmaz Gündoğdu said, “When using stored breast milk, putting it on the stove or in the microwave will degrade the protein of the milk and may burn your baby’s mouth. You can melt the milk bag by placing it in a hot bowl with the mouth out. Then you can check the temperature and give it to your baby,” she said.
