Steak sandwich with roasted vegetables
Steak sandwich with roasted vegetables
Roasted vegetables with a steak. Super tasty of course, but as a recipe, I thought it might be a bit too simple for the site. Solution: I turned it into a delicious sandwich: a sandwich with roasted vegetables and slices of beautifully cooked prime rib. Still fairly easy to make, this roasted vegetable steak sandwich is a real luncheon topper.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 Italian dumplings
- 1 sirloin steak
- 1 zucchini cut into thin long pieces
- 1 pointed pepper in rings
- 50 gr mixed salad
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise or other sauce of your choice
- pepper and salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Halve the Italian dumplings and spread the bottom thickly with mayonnaise (or other sauce of your choice)
- Heat a frying pan with olive oil and butter and fry the sirloin steak medium. That is about 3 minutes per side, but this of course depends on the thickness of the meat. A core thermometer can help.
- Heat another frying pan or grill plate and roast the vegetables on it until done.
- Cover the bulbs with some lettuce, strips of entrecote, and the roasted vegetables.
