Steak sandwich with roasted vegetables

Roasted vegetables with a steak. Super tasty of course, but as a recipe, I thought it might be a bit too simple for the site. Solution: I turned it into a delicious sandwich: a sandwich with roasted vegetables and slices of beautifully cooked prime rib. Still fairly easy to make, this roasted vegetable steak sandwich is a real luncheon topper.

PREPARATION TIME:    10 min    CALORIES:    648 kcal

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Italian dumplings
  • 1 sirloin steak
  • 1 zucchini cut into thin long pieces
  • 1 pointed pepper in rings
  • 50 gr mixed salad
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or other sauce of your choice
  • pepper and salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Halve the Italian dumplings and spread the bottom thickly with mayonnaise (or other sauce of your choice)
  2. Heat a frying pan with olive oil and butter and fry the sirloin steak medium. That is about 3 minutes per side, but this of course depends on the thickness of the meat. A core thermometer can help.
  3. Heat another frying pan or grill plate and roast the vegetables on it until done.
  4. Cover the bulbs with some lettuce, strips of entrecote, and the roasted vegetables.
