How to stir-fry snow peas? Snow peas are young pods of the pea plant. They are picked very early, which is why the pods are nice and soft and the peas are still very small. As a result, the color is also bright green. Both the skin and the peas are eaten. Snow peas can be prepared in many ways. Here we are going to stir-fry snow peas.

Wok peas. Stir-fry the snow peas base: remove the two ends of the snow peas and rinse the snow peas. Heat the oil in the wok and add the snow peas. Bake them for 4-5 minutes until al dente and 8 minutes for soft snow peas. You can also add herbs, spices, and soy sauce for more flavor.

Woking snow peas is therefore quite easy to do and the vegetables remain tender and crunchy. Snow peas are similar to Sugar Snaps and can be quite confusing at times. Snow peas are flat and Sugar Snaps are more round in shape. Read our blog about preparing Sugar Snaps if you unexpectedly have Sugar Snaps.

If you want to stir-fry well, a wok with a wide rising edge and a solid bottom is recommended. Are you going to wok for the first time or are you ready for a new one,  It will make wok cooking easier!

Snow peas Stir fry

Before the snow peas are stir-fried, they must first be cleaned. You do this by breaking off or cutting off a small piece of the two ends first. You now have a chance that you will pull a thread along, which will then be on the back of the pod. Remove this as well, because this is not tasty. The thread will probably not be present because the pods are picked young.

Then wash the snow peas under the tap and now we can stir-fry the snow peas. Below is the basics for stir-frying snow peas. You will probably also add other vegetables or sauce, but the stir-frying of the snow peas remains the same. For stir-frying with snow peas only you need about 200 grams per person. Now the wok itself.

How Long to Wok Snow Peas

Place the wok on the heat source with a little oil and heat the oil. When the oil is hot, the snow peas go into the wok. Stir the snow peas regularly and keep doing this for about 4-5 minutes, then the snow peas are al dente. If you want soft snow peas, wok the snow peas for about 8 minutes.

Season the snow peas with salt and pepper and you now have the basis of wok peas. You can serve and eat them.
