There are several ways to cook zucchini :
- in a double boiler (in accordance with the instructions for this category of appliances);
- in a multicooker (the “Baking” or “Cooking” mode is used);
- in a regular saucepan;
- in a pressure cooker.
In a multicooker, zucchini are cooked in the “Baking” mode and they must first be poured with the required amount of water. In a double boiler, vegetables are placed on a special grid, and the liquid is poured into a separate compartment. The readiness of the zucchini is checked in a similar way.
It is believed that steamed vegetables retain more of beneficial ingredients. In the process of any method of cooking, zucchini does not change the composition of vitamins too much, but it is recommended to put them only in boiling water. In cold water, vegetables will cook longer, and prolonged heat treatment will reduce the level of nutrients.

Zucchini is quick and easy to cook. If they are cooked in a regular saucepan, then the cooking time will not exceed 20 minutes. Young vegetables can cook faster, older vegetables a little longer. If the zucchini is cut into cubes or rings, then boil them for 10-15 minutes.
In a multicooker, zucchini of any kind is cooked in 10 minutes, and in a double boiler – 20 minutes. The peel can extend the cooking process if the vegetable is overgrown, so it is recommended to remove it in advance. In addition, particles of tough skin can spoil the consistency of the dish.
