Brownies from the Airfryer with white chocolate

Because I know you are a big fan of brownies and because people have been asking for a recipe for brownies from the Airfryer for a while, I made a recipe for brownies with white chocolate from the Philips Airfryer XXL.

To make the brownies from the Airfryer, I start by lining the baking accessory for the Philips Airfryer XXL. This is a handy precisely fitting baking pan, really ideal to have at home. But if you don’t have these, you can also bake the brownies with a small 20cm springform pan. This also fits in the basket of the Airfryer.

After making the batter I sprinkle white chocolate over the top. During baking, the pieces will sink down a bit. The top of the white chocolate will caramelize a little, but if you cut the brownies you will see the white chocolate again.

The temperature of the Airfryer is 160˚C and you bake the brownies in about 30 minutes. If you insert a wooden skewer, it will still stick a bit. That’s fine; as long as it is not soaking wet or very dry.

Brownies from the Airfryer with white chocolate recipe

PREPARATION TIME:    30 min      Persons:  8

  • Philips Airfryer XXL
  • Baking accessory or a small 20cm diameter springform pan

  • 140 gr unsalted butter cut into small pieces
  • 180 gr of dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 130 gr sugar
  • 80 gr brown caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 60 gr flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 100 gr white chocolate chopped (not too small)

  1. Line the baking accessory of the Philips Airfryer XXL with baking paper. This will stay in place best if you rub the baking accessory with a little oil or a baking spray. Set the baking pan aside while you make the batter.
  2. Put the butter and chocolate together in a bowl and melt au bain marie until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Beat in the sugar. Add the granulated sugar and the brown sugar together and beat it together. The mixture will be a bit gritty.
  4. Beat in the eggs and yolk one by one and then the vanilla. Beat vigorously for about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the flour, salt and baking powder.
  6. Divide the batter into the ready baking pan. Now sprinkle the pieces of white chocolate over it.
  7. Bake the brownies in the Philips Airfryer XXL at 160˚C for about 30 minutes. The white chocolate will caramelize on top.
  8. The brownies will still feel a bit wobbly when you take them out of the Airfryer. It will become firmer as it cools.
